This settlement and inlet in the central part of the northern coast of the Pelješac peninsula is 4 kilometres north of Janjina. The main economic activities are agriculture and fishing. The coastline is very steep, rocky and poorly developed, with only a few small coves. The inlet is a docking area for small yachts.
The town is on a side road of the regional highway which stretches the length of the peninsula.
